Your life is precious and it belongs to God, although we may think we have all the knowledge of how to guide ourselves in this life, we have limited knowledge and understanding.
Lord, I know that people’s lives are not their own;
it is not for them to direct their steps. Jeremiah 10:23 NIV
Therefore if our lives were created by The living God and we belong to Him, we are to look after it and live a life pleasing to God, with His help because He is our strength, always.
He will guide us on the straight and narrow path of His Son The Lord Jesus Christ and if we do stumble or falter He will pick us up and direct us on the right path.
for though the righteous fall seven times, they rise again,
but the wicked stumble when calamity strikes. Proverbs 24:16 NIV
We are to give praises to God daily and worship His holy name because He is to be revered above all things. He created everything and even time is in His hands, therefore He is well worthy of respect and admiration.
The earth is the Lord’s, and the fulness thereof; the world, and they that dwell therein. Psalm 24:1 KJV
14 Behold, the heaven and the heaven of heavens is the Lord’s thy God, the earth also, with all that therein is. Deuteronomy 10:14 KJV
In this life God requires us to be humble before Him, He loves us and wants us to know that He made us with a purpose and that without Him nothing would exist, He made everything. We should be respectful towards Him and towards others as it shows humility.
We should stand in awe of His holy name.
33 Oh, the depth of the riches of the wisdom and[i] knowledge of God!
How unsearchable his judgments,
and his paths beyond tracing out!
